Fashion may be getting more and more adventurous these days, but in menswear there will always be a place for low-key wardrobe essentials—jeans, blazers, button-ups, and bombers with understated good looks and a lot of attention to detail. It’s a philosophy that even fast-fashion giant H&M understands, which is why the company is releasing a new collection called H&M Edition.
Featuring a range of elevated staples, Edition sticks to a muted color palette of earthy blues, grays, and greens, as well as black and white. There’s a crewneck cashmere sweater with sweatshirt detailing and a slightly dropped shoulder for a more relaxed fit, a navy worker’s jacket, a zippered jacket in suede, a range of jeans in selvedge denim, and more. Basically everything you need for a casual office environment—and pretty much any off-duty endeavor that doesn’t require a gym membership.
“H&M Edition is all about the precise details that makes menswear so interesting,” says head of menswear design Andreas Löwenstam. “Every step in the design process for this collection has been with a focus on total perfection. We are almost obsessive about finding the best fabrics, the perfect cut, and the very best fit for this collection of contemporary classics.”
The debut collection is only the beginning. H&M Edition will continue to evolve for the seasons ahead, making it a surefire go-to for any guys looking for a bit of stylish simplicity in their wardrobe.
The collection, priced from $25-$349, will be available at hm.com starting March 16. In the meantime, check out more from the lookbook—starring British artist Robert Fry—below.
